The Food Safety Modernization Act (FMSA) is the biggest regulatory overhaul in the history of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It is a paradigm shift where the attention is shifted towards preventive measures and process compliance from food inspections. The FSMA impacts distributors, logistics and transportation companies which transport food, retailers and food producers.
