Learn to Conduct Effective Internal Investigations to Identify and Remediate Trade Compliance Issues

It is critically important to be able to conduct effective internal reviews to identify and remediate compliance issues. Developing and following a well-conceived investigative plan is an important part of the process; so are the specific steps for preserving and reviewing data, conducting interviews, and reporting on the investigation. It is likewise essential to have a process where remedial actions can be implemented to avoid similar issues in the future.

Join this session with expert speaker Thad McBride who will offer advice on how to best conduct internal investigations related to export controls, economic sanctions, the FCPA, and other trade issues. He will examine the common challenges related to conducting an internal investigation of international trade compliance issues. Such investigations often span borders, languages, and laws. With this session, you will get practical guidance, based on extensive experience, on how best to conduct investigations involving international trade issues and the unique challenges that such investigations present. You will learn why it is so important to be able to conduct an effective internal compliance investigation, and the steps to do so. Thad will provide practical guidance on each step of the process so that you can directly apply the lessons learned during this session.

By attending this session, you will have the additional confidence to conduct effective internal investigations for and within your enterprise.
