Kathleen M. Bonczyk, Esq. is an attorney licensed to practice law in the states of Florida and New Jersey who has represented both employers and employees pertaining to safety-related matters. She is also a past human resources executive, researcher, much sought-after public speaker, researcher and writer.

Kathleen has written about workplace violence since 1996 when her C.E.U. article on harassment was published in Nursing Spectrum magazine. She was the first non-clinician to be published in that national educational periodical. Her latest article on workplace violence prevention made the January 2017 cover of Claims Magazine a leading publication for professionals in the insurance and risk management community. Her latest white paper is entitled “The Killer in the Next Cubicle” and delves into the increasing problem of employee-on-employee violence.

In 2017, Kathleen founded the interdisciplinary Workplace Violence Prevention Institute. The WVPI’s membership includes representation from the psychological, law enforcement, educational, legal, business, and safety communities and they convene throughout the year to address proactive ways to prevent workplace violence and active shooter situations. The WVPI’s next meeting is scheduled to occur on April 19, 2017 in New Jersey.
