M. Aaron Little, CPA, is a managing consultant with BKD Health Care Group, a division of BKD, LLP, based in Springfield, Missouri. Aaron manages BKD Health Care Billing Services, which provides billing outsourcing and recovery services for home health, hospice, rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities. As a leading national home care consultant, he routinely performs revenue recovery services, billing efficiency and compliance assessments, client training and other special billing services.
In addition to billing, Aaron performs general financial and operational consulting services for home health and hospice agencies, including operations reviews, productivity assessments, benchmarking, budgeting and Medicare cost report preparation.
Aaron routinely presents home care seminars for the National Association for Home Care & Hospice, Healthcare Financial Management Association and numerous other state and regional associations. He serves as the chairman of the Missouri Alliance for Home Care administrative services resource committee and is an active member of the newsletter committee of the Home Care & Hospice Financial Managers Association (HHFMA).
Aaron is a contributing author to BKD’s Health Care News, HHFMA’s Update and other state and national publications. Aaron is a resource for the editors of Home Health Line and Eli Research, Inc. (Eli). He is routinely quoted in its multiple national home care publications and is a frequent speaker for Eli’s national teleconference program. He also serves on the editorial advisory board of Eli’s Home Health ICD-9 Alert and the product advisory board for HealthMEDX, Inc., a national home care and long-term care software vendor.
Aaron’s professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants. He joined BKD in 1997 after graduating summa cum laude from College of the Ozarks, Pt. Lookout, Missouri, with a B.S. degree in business administration.
