Dr. Denise Swett is the vice president of student services at Foothill College. She has worked as a higher education administrator since 1998, at the University of San Francisco, Chabot College and Cañada College.
Denise has presented numerous trainings and workshops online and at conferences including the American Council on Education (ACE), American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), League for Innovation for the Community Colleges, National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), National Resource Center First Year Experience & Students in Transition and Community College League of California. She is a recognized leader in providing comprehensive online student services and annually hosts Foothill College's Tech Conference: Leveraging Technology to Support Students, Faculty and Staff.
Denise was the Administrator of the Year at Foothill College in 2009 and has been recognized for her work by the Association of Mexican American Educators of Silicon Valley receiving the Educator of the Year award for 2011. She also received the National Community College Administrator of the Year 2012 from NASPA. Denise earned her BA and MPA at San Jose State University and her Ed.D. from the University of San Francisco.
