Andy Glaser is Vice President of Sales for the NA ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc., Life Sciences Group. ATS Automation provides innovative, custom designed, built and installed manufacturing solutions to many of the world's most successful companies. Founded in 1978, ATS uses its industry-leading knowledge and global capabilities to serve the sophisticated automation systems' needs of multinational customers in industries such as life sciences, computer/electronics, energy, transportation and consumer products.
It also leverages its many years of experience and skills to fulfill the specialized automation product manufacturing requirements of customers. ATS employs approximately 3,500 people at 25 manufacturing facilities and 51 offices in Canada, the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia and China. The Company's shares are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol ATA.
Currently, Glaser is involved with sales operations for North America focused on the automation of medical device manufacturing and similarly related products in Pharma and Medical Diagnostics. Glaser started his career as an engineer for Hobart Brothers Company, eventually transitioning to sales leadership roles with Fanuc Robotics America, Ellison Technologies, and Yaskawa Motoman.
With over 25 years of experience in automation, Glaser is an accomplished author and speaker on robotics and lean manufacturing implementation. He has contributed to numerous organizations and publications including AWS, IMTS, SME, FMA, The Fabricator and Modern Machine Shop. In addition, Glaser authored "Industrial Robotics, How to Implement the Right System for Your Plant", published by Industrial Press in 2008.
Glaser holds an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from The Ohio State University. He is a former member of NACFAM and CMTSE-certified.
