Dr. Peggy Mitchell Clarke

Dr. Peggy Mitchell Clarke is a clinical psychologist, consultant and former psychology professor with almost three decades of combined experience in mental health, safety, higher education, publishing and media. She began her professional career as a psychotherapist and has worked in a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Peggy’s experience in higher education includes 19 years as a psychology professor and administrator, and she currently serves on Community College of Aurora's Behavioral Intervention Team. An active mental health advocate, Peggy served on the Colorado state board of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and as an executive officer for the Virginia and Denver-Rocky Mountain chapters of the Association of Black Psychologists. Recognized for her unique blend of experience and expertise, she appeared weekly as an expert panelist for four years on Denver’s 9News Morning Show. The author of Do Something Different...For a Change and Doggie Tales, Peggy is currently the host and producer of her own radio show, Living Well with Dr. Peg. Learn more at
