Temur Akhmedov, LEED AP, is an energy efficiency and renewable energy expert, public speaker and educator. For over 10 years, Mr. Akhmedov was involved in energy efficiency industry, first working with homeowners, later transitioning to working with large commercial and public entities. He performed hundreds of energy audits of homes, commercial and public buildings. Gradually, Mr. Akhmedov shifted towards providing consulting services in devising energy strategies. His key achievement is successful recruitment and design of the Oklahoma State Energy Conservation Program, aimed in achieving over $100 million in energy savings by 2020. This initiative is expected to include over 6,000 buildings and over 80 million sq ft. The program was developed in collaboration with a local engineering firm.
Temur Akhmedov regularly speaks to professional groups, college and K-12 students on basics of energy efficiency, green building and renewable energy. He is an active member of local sustainable community, helping to launch several groups and serving on several boards over the last 10 years. Among these groups are Oklahoma Renewable Energy Council, Oklahoma Chapter of US Green Building Council, Oklahoma Sustainability Network and Sustainable Oklahoma City.
