John Andoh, 33, has a passion for public transportation and is working with the public transit industry since he was 18. He attended the Transportation Management Program at San Jose State University, Mineta Transportation Institute and The University of Pacific.
John has managed small and rural transit systems throughout California, Nevada and Arizona – some of his major projects including the consolidation of transit services in South Lake Tahoe, CA and Yuma County, ZA areas. He was also instrumental in starting discussions regarding the creation of a joint power authority between Vallejo and Benicia CA. John also oversaw the preparation of short range transit plans for various transit systems that he managed. He is the first Transit Director for Yuma County Intergovernmental Public Transportation Authority – a newly formed consolidated transit authority in Yuma, Arizona since 2011 and works on a part-time basis as a Transit Coordinator for Escalon City. He is also the Transit Planner for the Town of Quartzsite.
John likes playing soccer, hockey, basketball and tennis in his spare time and volunteers at historical museums as a trolley operator as a part of performing community services. He is a strong advocate of public transportation and believes in using public transport at maximum to show his support towards public transit.
