Melanie Dunn, Special Education Law Expert

Melanie Dunn

Melanie Dunn is an attorney with a Connecticut-based practice focused on the representation of parents in special education, student discipline, and related education law matters. Prior to her current role as an advocate for parents of children with special needs, Ms. Dunn represented boards of education in matters involving school law as well as labor and employment issues. Ms. Dunn is also a former Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, where she represented state agencies in school funding and professional licensing matters. Ms. Dunn is a graduate of Bard College and the University of Connecticut School of Law, and is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Connecticut and New Jersey as well as to the Massachusetts bar. Ms. Dunn is a frequent speaker on education law topics, and a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, Education Law Section, in addition to serving on the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association, Women in the Law Section
