Christopher D. Lee

Chris is a self-described HR evangelist. He believes that artful application of progressive human resources principles and practices is the answer to most organizational challenges. His background includes having served as the chief human resources officer for three different colleges or universities and a state college system.

He is a former question writer for the PHR and SPHR examinations administered by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). His areas of expertise are employment, training, and performance management-or, in his words, "finding, developing, and managing talent in organizations." He is the author of numerous human resources related articles and three books including the new Search Committees: A Comprehensive Guide for Successful Faculty, Staff, and Administrative Searches which is published in association with CUPA-HR.

Chris's first Search Committees book earned the 2001 Kathryn Hansen publication award from the CUPA-HR. He is the proprietor of www.SearchCommittees.com, a website that is an online repository of hundreds of resources and training materials on the search committee process designed to train and empower search committees.

Chris has presented at conferences in the US, Canada and Australia on HR related topics. He holds a master's degree in HR Management, a doctor of philosophy degree in HR Development, and he is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.
