Christopher J. Hunter represents privately-held companies on real estate matters and serves as local real estate counsel for national and publicly-held companies. Chris is Chairman of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. His practice includes a broad spectrum of real estate matters, including development, finance, acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and partnerships and joint ventures. Chris has represented clients in the negotiation of numerous development agreements, disposition and development agreements, and other contracts with cities, counties and governmental agencies.
Prior to joining the firm in 1999, Chris worked for a San Francisco law firm that was general counsel to a major bank. He represented the bank and other financial institutions in a wide variety of real estate lending matters, including loan workouts, foreclosures, receiverships and the management and disposition of REO properties.
Chris is a member of the Real Estate Section, Contra, Costa County Bar Association and State Bar of California. He has also served on the board for Mt. Diablo Habitat for Humanity, the Pro Bono Committee of the Barristers Club of San Francisco, and the Real Estate Alliance for Charity.
