Paul E. Joffe has served as a clinical psychologist at the University of Illinois Counseling Center since1982. He is involved in a number of campus-wide consultative groups that address violence and violence reduction. These include initiatives around interpersonal violence, bullying behavior, aggressive-grievancing, workplace violence and suicide prevention. He has a part-time appointment in the Office of the Provost working in the areas of workplace consultation and violence prevention. He founded the Suicide Prevention Team in 1984 and speaks nationally on the issue of suicide prevention in higher education. He graduated with a B.S. in psychology from Cornell University in 1976. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1981.
