Diane Barrett is currently an instructor at the University of Technology in Tempe, AZ. She also runs NextGard Technology, a security awareness and consulting company. Diane has been involved in the IT industry for about 15 years. She spent 7 years working in a software development environment and the last 7 years in education. She writes and teaches online classes for companies such as HP and Forbes. Diane has either co-authored or has been the lead author of several books including two on Implementing and Administering Security in a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network. She was a volunteer for ISSA’s Generally Accepted Information Security Principles in the Ethical Practices Working Group and has recently joined the SearchSecurity.com advisory board. In addition, she holds about 15 industry certifications including CISSP, ISSMP, and MCSE.
