Jennifer Shaw’s practice at Shaw Valenza LLP includes providing regular advice and counsel on workplace issues to numerous private and public sector employers. She also develops and presents seminars for management and non-supervisory employees on subjects such as respect and professionalism in the workplace, AB 1825 and AB 1234 compliance, diversity, managing protected leaves of absence, and workplace violence prevention. In addition, Shaw regularly conducts independent internal investigations for employers and litigates employment law cases in state and federal court.
Shaw is an active member of the California State and Sacramento County Bar Associations, and the Society for Human Resource Management (“SHRM”). She is a member of the Legal and Legislative Group of the Sacramento Area Human Resources Association, and co-authors a regular column on workplace law issues for The Daily Recorder, a legal newspaper.
Shaw is a frequent speaker on employment law topics, and she has been a guest on CNN and local television and radio programs.
