Margie Dana is a former print buyer who turned her passion for printing into a print consulting business. She writes her weekly e-newsletter, Dana’s Print Tips, to help build bridges between print customers and the industry. Today it's read worldwide by thousands of subscribers in 25 countries. With more than 350 issues since 1999, this newsletter has been the staple of print professionals worldwide for over six years.
For the past several years, Dana's been a sought-after speaker at industry events that target printers and/or print customers. Her presentations are inspiring, passionate, and interactive, and she strives to leave her audiences with valuable insights they can put to good use immediately.
In recent years, Dana has presented in Auckland, NZ, for PrintNZ; in Leeds, UK, for PrintYorkshire; in San Francisco, CA, for PINC (Printing Industries of Northern California); in Wisconsin for NAPL with industry expert Frank Romano; and regularly throughout New England.
Dana is the founder of Boston Print Buyers (BPB), a professional group that's dedicated to bringing networking and educational opportunities to professionals who purchase or influence the purchase of printing. BPB holds bimonthly dinner programs for buyers only. Networking and an educational presentation are part of every program. In addition, BPB produced the largest print buyer conference held last year (and scheduled again this year) in Westford, MA.
In addition to authoring dozens of articles about the business of printing, Dana has published her first book. "Put It on Paper! Every Person's Guide to the Printing Industry" is available via her web site in both hard copy and as an e-book. It is an edited compilation of 60 of her published columns and is ideal for new customers.
