Barbara Brock, a health educator and published researcher in the field of aging is also President of Communication Art, Inc. a thirteen, year old company based in Toledo, Ohio.
As a researcher of health related projects Brock served as a lead investigator on a number of occasions. She is the original creator of the Reality Comprehension Clock Test. Barbara is also co-author of the RCCT Instruction Manual as well as a published co-author of a research article that appeared in the 2005 September issue of The Journal of Gerontological Nursing. Provider Magazine also published an article in their Feb. 2006 issue describing the impact of the RCCT and its ability to identify risk of fall in individual’s who suffer from Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia.
Brock is the visionary of the RCCT and the Social Model for Dementia Care, known as Communication Art Programs. It is through her tireless effort, dedication and compassion to improve the lives of the elderly cognitive impaired these specialized tools have evolved. Brock is a state and national speaker.
