John Gilliland is an attorney and senior partner in the Indianapolis law firm of Gilliland Markette & Milligan LLP. His primary areas of practice are health law and labor/employment law.
He received his B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pennsylvania, in 1967, and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C., in 1971. During law school, he served as a Rotary Foundation Fellow at the Faculty of Law of Queen’s University, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Mr. Gilliland is a frequent speaker and author concerning health law and labor/employment issues for numerous national, state and local organizations throughout the country and serves on the editorial advisory boards for a number of health care publications. He is the author of “Wage and Hour in Home Care,” a recently published manual to assist home care agencies in complying with the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
