Event Description

Get Proactive Solutions for Preventing Workplace Violence and Increasing Employee Safety

According to the FBI, 7 out of 10 active shooter situations occur in businesses or schools. Mass killings are not uncommon – i.e. multiple employees murdered. Overkill situations are also not uncommon – i.e. multiple shots at one victim and/or emptying weapons of bullets. However, workplace violence is predictable and therefore preventable. It is important that you learn how to identify the warning signs so that you might avoid becoming another statistic.

In this session, expert speaker Kathleen M. Bonczyk, Esq. will provide up-to-date information and workable solutions for this growing problem. Kathleen will profile common themes in recent acts of employee aggression, along with highlighting danger zones and offering common sense proactive solutions.

You will get essential techniques and takeaways that will help you make your workplace safer for employees based on Kathleen’s current research “The Killer in the Next Cubicle.” This study evaluates more than 150 acts of employee-on-employee murders through 2017 and also studies other acts of aggression including bullying, harassment, assaults, battery, and attempted murder. With this session, you will learn to spot the warning signs and identify ways to stop potential acts of aggression.
