Event Description

Learn How to Protect Employees from Chemical Hazards through the OSHA GHS Standard

How do I begin to develop an OSHA/GHS compliant OSHA standard for my plant? Navigating the requirements of the new OSHA GHS standard can be complex, especially when dealing with multiple chemical hazards and chemical warning labeling requirements in a plant.

In this session, expert speaker Joe Keenan, MBA, CSP will clearly spell out the new OSHA GHS standards as it applies to your organization.  Joe will walk you through how to develop an OSHA HazCom/GHS program from beginning to end. He will cover the basics of what is required in a HazCom/GHS program and provide a template to work off.

The session will explore the GHS training that is required, the new warning labels with pictograms, and discuss in detail the new Safety Data Sheet (SDS) format.  Joe will answer site-specific questions and address site-specific concerns as it pertains to the new GHS standard.
