When your employees and contractors travel to and work in locations outside the U.S., especially medium to high threat areas, it won’t come as a surprise that they will face increased risks to their safety and security. But now even travel to places traditionally considered safe, such as Western Europe, may also pose a threat. For instance, the spread of militant Islam throughout the world has created hazards to travelers previously unknown. The recent attacks on innocent civilians by ISIS-inspired Islamic militants in Paris and Brussels are a burning example of that fact! A related concern for your travelers is the list of endemic diseases, such as the recently publicized Zika virus, that may confront them in certain corners of the globe. These concerns must also be addressed by a robust Company Travel Security Program.
As a CEO or CSO, you have a responsibility to provide the tools that your travelers need to mitigate the risks posed by such threats. Thankfully, providing appropriate tools in a comprehensible program can be accomplished in a straight forward manner. However, not doing so can create significant legal and moral exposure for your organization that can, and should, be avoided.
The management techniques and approaches that will be discussed in this session by expert speaker Ray Rhodes are currently used effectively by many leading U.S. companies to allow their employees and contractors to travel abroad without undue concern for their wellbeing. This session will discuss the Legal “Duty of Care” for employers. You will also learn the concepts of designing a company travel policy, emergency response planning, implementing a global communications system, vetting travel agents and airlines, and developing a company travel website.
This webinar will arm managers with the information needed to create a Travel Security Program that will help ensure their personnel can travel safely and securely. Ray is not only a seasoned security practitioner with decades of experience, but also a skilled teacher who has the knack for imparting knowledge in a clear and understandable manner. You will acquire a better knowledge of the necessary components of a viable Company Travel Security Program and how to develop such a program
