Event Description

Get Insider Tips on Writing a HUD-Compliant Tenant Selection Plan!

Tenant Selection Plans (TSPs) are the responsibility of owners/agents to write and have available for applicants. HUD does have the right to review your TSP and to ask for adjustments if not in accord with their rules. Therefore, it is necessary to know what is needed in the TSP for HUD's approval.

Recently HUD has added to the musts of what a TSP should contain. Are you up-to-date? A good TSP helps you to have control on the type of tenant you want occupying your buildings. In this informative session, our expert speaker, Debbie Hixon, will provide you guidance on how to write a HUD-compliant Tenant Selection Plan. This session will include a comprehensive discussion of all the ins and outs of a successful TSP.

Session Highlights:

  • What are the required topics that must appear in your TSP?
  • How many pages should a TSP have?
  • What is the one EIV report that must be mentioned in your TSP?
  • Are you required to have policy on your Security Deposits in the TSP?
  • Are you required to state unit transfer policies in your TSP?

Who should attend?

All HUD-insured or assisted housing staff.
