The start screen is the new way of navigating the Windows 8 environment. You will learn how the screen works from a navigation standpoint, learn to add apps to the start screen, understand the new charms, customize the start screen and more.
What is the Cloud?
The cloud is free external storage that comes with your Microsoft account. Learn how to save documents to the cloud (using SkyDrive), backup photos and more. Cloud storage is a term used to describe services that enable you to store files on remote servers across the Internet. Some well-known examples of these services include Microsoft SkyDrive, Apple iCloud, Google Drive, and Dropbox.
Let’s Get Social:
Windows 8 lets you automatically connect to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google, and other popular social services. If you link these accounts to your Windows 8 PC, Windows 8 will sync your mail, appointments, contacts, and more from your social media accounts to your PC. A lot of these social apps will be accessed through the new start screen.
