In this webcast Excel expert David Ringstrom, CPA shares dozens of tricks he uses to work with Excel more effectively every day. Remember, either you work Excel, or it works you! David will teach from Excel 2010, but his materials include tips and techniques specific to Excel 2013, Excel 2010 and Excel 2007. Coverage of 2003 will be limited to questions posed by the audience during or after the presentation.

You will learn mouse clicks and keyboard shortcuts that transform how you work in Excel and will be able to avoid retyping text with techniques such as concatenation. Going further, you will also learn how to automatically back-up key Excel files.

  • Discover how to quickly access folders and workbooks, either from network or your personal computer
  • Discover techniques that automatically provide fall-back positions in the event that you need to see an earlier version of your spreadsheet.

  • Wrangle long lists of data by filtering instead of sorting.
  • Create a report to track customer longevity in a way that shows first and last invoice dates by customer.
  • Use Table feature of Excel 2007 and later to create charts that expand or contract automatically as your source data changes
  • Learn how to create self-updating chart titles which are linked to formulas within a worksheet cell
