Insider Tips on Using Formula-Auditing Tools and Formula-Building Shortcuts in Excel

One of the most important skill set for many Excel users is probably working with functions and formulas in Excel as it is crucial to building powerful analytical and financial worksheets. There is over 450 built-in functions in Excel, a powerful set of tools which eases certain kinds of formulas and provides you with a large number of computational possibilities. A lot of Excel functions provide extended analytical capabilities and open the door to more productive use of Excel; however, with so many functions, it is not an easy task to know which functions are available and which you might have overlooked.

In this session, expert speaker Dennis Taylor willgive perspective on the available functions and discuss (with detailed examples) how many of them can be used, including: the powerful VLOOKUP function, the usually overlooked Text functions, crucial for cleaning up problems with downloaded data, the IF function (with OR and AND), and Mathematical functions. Additionally, this session also covers the powerful COUNTIF/SUMIF family of functions, along with new functions that were introduced in Excel 2010 and 2013.

This session will cover specific functions and formulas in-depth and will provide you with the perspective that you need to understand the depth and scope of these crucial Excel features. Each and every example will be presented in the context of Excel worksheets based on real-life examples that have been seen in the past 20 years of the speaker’s Excel consulting and teaching experience.

Throughout this session, you will be provided with various productivity tips, accelerator tools and shortcuts. You will also receive the Excel workbook file, containing various worksheets that serves as the staging area for the demonstrated formulas and functions.
