Learn How to Create Easy-To-Use Budget Spreadsheets Using Excel

In this valuable session from Excel expert David H. Ringstrom, CPA, you’ll learn how to create resilient and easy-to-use budget spreadsheets. David will present helpful techniques, such as how to streamline formula writing, preserve key formulas, separate inputs from calculations, and create both operating and cash flow budgets.

David will also share the benefits associated with a variety of Excel functions and features to implement when building and updating budget spreadsheets. You will get a demonstration of every technique at least twice: first, on a PowerPoint slide with numbered steps, and second, in Excel 2016 and upon request, demonstration of techniques in a specific version of Excel. David will provide detailed handouts, with numbered steps, to serve as reference tools that you can fall back on, as well as an Excel workbook that will include a majority of the examples that will be used during the session.

  • Use the SUMIF function to summarize data based on a single criterion
