Master the Use of Pie, Bar, Sparkline and Infographic Style Charts in Excel for Data Visualization.

When the saying, ‘a picture speaks a thousand words’ is related with Ms Excel, it means finding ways with which numeric data can be represented pictorially so that your audience is able to understand it quickly and easily. It is quite easy to look at charts/graphs interpreting trends in a dataset, than to simply look into a set of figures.

This webinar by expert speaker Mike Thomas is going to talk about creating and enhancing the appearance of traditional charts like bar charts and pie charts in Excel. You will know ways with which you can use Excel to create Sparkline Charts that are really useful while creating dashboards and infographic-style charts, as well as learn how to represent data graphically without using the charting feature at all.

Until a few years ago it was enough to take a set of numbers and create a bar chart or pie chart. Although in the right situation these traditional charts are still appropriate, things have moved on. We're constantly hearing words like Data Visualization and Infographic. It's time to get your Excel-related business and communication skills up to date and learn how to use it to present data in the modern world. The training will be delivered using Excel 2016 for Windows although much of the functionality is available in earlier versions of Excel on both Windows and Mac.

Session Highlights:

  • Creating a traditional chart with a single keystroke
  • Annotating a chart with labels, titles and notes
