Use Seven Basic Quality Tools and Advanced Methods to Increase Organizations Effectiveness and Efficiency

Traditional methods of process improvement demonstrate high failure rates: business process reengineering (BPR) 50% to 85%, total quality management (TQM) 75% and six sigma 90%. The need is for proactive methods that will identify organizational issues before they result in loss of revenue, such as those used in process reliability modeling (PRM).

Tactical problem solving is an analytical approach used to identify and solve problems. This session by expert speaker Dr. Michael Abitz will provide an analysis of the seven basic tools of quality in addition to advanced methods used to increase organizations effectiveness, efficiency and reliability. This session will focus on specific areas like the cause and effect diagrams (Fishbone or Ishikawa diagrams), check sheets, control charts, histogram, Pareto charts, scatter diagrams, and flow charts (stratification or run charts). You will learn about advanced methods such as process reliability modeling (PRM), failure mode effects analysis (FMEA and FMECA), value stream mapping and hypothesis testing.
