Event Description

Learn How Your RMP & PSM Efforts Affect Manufacturing Operations

When it comes to extremely hazardous substances (EHSs) and toxic chemicals, you have two major regulators to obey: the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). EPA rules require that you ensure public safety, and OSHA provisions oblige you to protect employees.  Juggling these two compliance obligations—and staying out of the agencies’ crosshairs—is no easy task.

Get the guidance you need in this instructional session. Join occupational safety expert Sheldon Primus to learn how to comply with the EPA’s Risk Management Program (RMP) to protect the general community from highly hazardous chemicals, as well as OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM) initiative to protect your employees. Learn the similarities and differences between the RMP and PSM, and how to comply with both standards.

After attending this audio event, you will have the tools and knowledge to understand the training and management requirements for both the RMP and PSM. You will be able to recognize hazards related to EHSs and know your duties for a multi-employer site. You will also gain tips for successful incident management so that you can minimize your liability exposure.
