Tipped employees can raise a whole new level of complexity for the payroll department.  From how much to pay per hour to how to properly handle taxation on tips. States even have special laws in regards to tipped employees.  Any company that is in the hospitality field has to deal with these questions on a regular basis.

This webinar by Dayna Reum, CPP, will give you the tools to better understand how to handle tipped employees.  Details on how to tax tipped employees and report tipped wages to the Internal Revenue Service and the employee.  Better clarity on how the tip credit works and when applying the tip credit, how to keep compliant with state and federal laws.  A review of special record keeping requirements on tipped employees will be discussed.
