Learn about the New EEOC Regulations to Ensure your Wellness Program is Compliant with Equal Pay Requirements.

The EEOC issued a final rule amending regulations and guidance under ADA and GINA, as these laws pertain to workplace wellness programs. The final rules, announced on May 17th 2016, address data privacy, equal opportunity obligations and incentives related to wellness programs. Those who design and implement workplace wellness programs will find these useful, as they provide guidance on avoiding discrimination. The rules also provide guidance on improving data privacy and security of employees. Consequently, understanding the rules will help your employees feel confident about participating in your wellness program.

The EEOC also issued additional insight into forthcoming Equal Pay reporting requirements for employers on July 14, 2016. These requirements, similar to the ADA and GINA rules, offer employers the opportunity to assess whether their work environments support optimal employee well-being. Each of the new rules start imposing obligations on employers in 2017, you must familiarize yourself with these new requirements as soon as possible. Learning the requirements now will give wellness programs time to meet the new standards.

This session by expert speaker Barbara J. Zabawa, JD, MPH will enable you to understand the new EEOC rules so that you can ensure your wellness program is compliant, that you are ready for the Equal Pay requirements, and that you minimize legal risk.
