Event Description

How to Simplify the Process of Managing Environmental Activities?

There are a multitude of federal, state and local environmental rules and requirements. The problem is that these requirements need to be read and understood, and there is no time to do it. This is what creates the fear. Most people do not have a clue that there are more pages of federal rule governing the treatment, storage and disposal of solid and hazardous waste than there are for the tax laws. In general, people hope they will not see a government inspector arrive at their location to review and inspect their operations. There is a fear as to what they may find. There is a need to identify which of these many rules affect your operations and what you need to do about it.

Managing environmental activities at facilities is a daunting task. The number of pages of legislation and regulations can be overwhelming! This session by expert speaker Dr. Vince Marchesani is designed to help simplify the process of understanding the rules and requirements, how they fit together and how you can effectively address and satisfy them. The session will help you understand how legislation and regulations are developed and implemented.

Further, it will provide insights as to how the federal and state environmental efforts interact. The challenge that will be satisfied with this session is how all of the rules and requirements at the federal, state and local level fit together, and how you can successfully address them.

This session will provide insights on how the federal clean air act, clean water act, resource conservation and recover act, safe drinking water act, comprehensive response compensation and liability act, superfund amendments reauthorization act; and the list goes on, are all tied together. In addition, it will address how acts similar to the federal acts at the state and local levels are also all tied together. You will have a better understanding of the relationship among and between the federal, state and local environmental enforcement agencies. You will learn from this session how all these requirements tie together and what you need to do about them to protect your company.
