Event Description

Understand Electricity Generation, Transmission, Safety, Use and Basic Energy Auditing

In this session, expert speaker Dr. Lon W. House will cover the basics on electricity: electricity generation, transmission, safety, along with how electricity is used, how to identify common electrical problems, and how to assess electricity usage and understand and read your electricity bill.

This session will be beneficial for anyone who isn’t an electrical engineer and wants to understand better what electricity is, how it operates, how it is used, and what the electricians and EEs are talking about. This session is especially useful for water system operators and employees. Dr. House is the energy trainer for the National Rural Water Association, California Rural Water Association, and Rural Water Association of Arizona.
