Event Description

Heed New ‘Area Source’ Status Rules

On January 25, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced it was replacing its Maximum Achievable Pollution Control Technology “Once In, Always In” policy. The new guidance reinterprets Section 112 of the Clean Air Act to allow sources to take an enforceable emission limit below major source levels at any time: Pollution classifications previously identified as “major source” are changing. Are you ready?

While many of the impacts of the new rule are still being played out, experts agree that there is a big financial incentive for those who act as soon as possible to take on area source status.

Join environmental health and chemistry expert Vince Marchesani, Ph.D as he walks you through the EPA’s pollution policy changes in this information-packed webinar. Marchesani has worked in the field for more than 30 years and knows better than almost anyone how your company stands to be impacted by this rule change—and what you can do to position yourself for regulatory compliance and business success.

After attending this audio event you will understand EPA’s original declaration from 1995, the update made in January, and the differences between the two requirements. You will also know how to save money your company money by acting on the change in Maximum Achievable Pollution Control Technology—and how to work with state agencies to secure new air permits that reflect the new reality.
