Learn Ways to Navigate the Tough Online Marketing Waters and Identify Ways to Use Emerging Advertising Mediums to Attract Consumers Without Breaking the Law!

In the digital age, the world of advertisements and marketing has rapidly exploded into previously uncharted territories. YouTube videos, blogs, native advertisements, sponsored content and online product reviews are everywhere. Mobile devices access material with increasing speed and decreasing screen size. While the "traditional" rules of advertising still apply, those rules must be applied adaptively across online and mobile device platforms that each present different considerations and challenges.

In this session by our expert speaker Kristi Davidson we will navigate the online marketing waters still being charted and identify ways to use these emerging advertising mediums to attract consumers and expand your business.

This conference assumes that you have a general working knowledge of the "traditional" rules of advertising and marketing, and that you are familiar with the interpretive guidance and decisions of the Federal Trade Commission, the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau and other state and federal statutes, regulations and legal principles.  (For a primer on these topics or to refresh your knowledge, check out a prior webinar presented by AudioSolutionz and this speaker, "Five Things You Should Know About Advertisements and Marketing.")  As for this session, it will focus on applying those traditional rules to the ever-evolving world of online content, mobile devices and social media.

Session Highlights:

This program will address:

  • What is native advertising?
  • Where is the line between editorial content and advertising?
  • What "magic words" should be used to identify when blogs, tweets, "likes" and other content are being generated on your behalf?
  • Why does the size of your ad (and the smart phone, mobile device, sponsored ad, etc.) matter?
  • What can you be responsible for if you republish, retweet, or "like" third party content?
  • What authorizations or permissions do you need to post content?
