Contractors require job hazard analyses (JHAs) before they begin working on a project in order to reduce errors, mistakes or accidents. By requiring the contractor to submit a JHA for the planned work, the owner or general contractor has a means of evaluating contractor’s safety preparations. Additionally, the JHA can determine and specify if additional safety training, licensing or certification is required; it may also specify that all employees working on a project get a minimum level of safety training. Useful for many managers and supervisors, John’s presentation will also explain the intent of the JHA process and how you can structure your JHA to address your clients’ concerns.
