Event Description

Use CPM Scheduling and Forensic Schedule Analysis (FSA) Methods to Develop a Robust Claim

Critical path method (CPM) scheduling has been called the greatest advancement in construction since 1950. While that may be true, there are still major impediments to effective CPM implementation and use. Further, as long as there have been CPM schedules, there have been forensic schedule analysis (FSA) methods used to identify, quantify, and allocate responsibility.

This session by expert speaker John Livengood will examine the critical roots of CPM, some of its impediments to effective use, how (FSA) methods are used in claims and how FSA has developed the robust set of choices an analyst has in performing delay claims. This session will help you identify the right kind of data that needs to be maintained during a project to support a delay claim. You will know how to organize the development of a claim and you will be able to identify the major strengths and weaknesses in claims developed by others. You will also be able to manage the development of delay claims and identify which method is most appropriate.
