Analyzing the Composition and Physical Properties of Plastics

Thermal analysis is an important group of tests used in the analysis of plastics and other polymeric materials. It consists of a family of well-established techniques that evaluate material properties as they change with temperature, time, and ambient environment under conditions of thermal programming.

Thermal analysis techniques are of four types:

  • Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
  • Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA)
  • Thermomechanical Analysis (TMA)
  • Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA)

This webinar by expert speaker Jeffrey A. Jansen will provide a practical treatment of thermal analysis techniques, and how the techniques can be utilized to better understand polymeric materials. The session will help you understand which technique to select based upon the information needed or the problem that they are trying to address.
